Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s adviser on political and public affairs, claimed on Monday that Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was “mistreating” his party members and supporters by issuing a “do-or-die” call for protest.
Speaking on the “Aaj Khanzada Kay Sath” show on News, he claimed that when the PTI talked about shrouds and funeral prayers, “they are giving law enforcement a free hand to launch a crackdown against them.”
The leader of the PML-N stated that the PTI could request a “democratic and peaceful” demonstration or rally to fulfill its goals, rather than threatening to march towards Islamabad and stage a sit-in there.
When asked, Sanaullah stated that the “monopoly on violence” is the property of the state.
