Enhanced capability
In November, Ukraine reported that its troops had engaged North Korean forces in combat in the Kursk area of Russia.
Moscow and Pyongyang have not reacted to the allegation that North Korean soldiers were shot at, despite the fact that US intelligence and NATO have recognized that there is evidence of North Korean personnel participating in Russia’s battle.
According to US officials, President Biden gave Ukraine permission to utilize long-range ATACMS missiles to launch attacks within Russia due to the arrival of North Korean forces.
Although it is uncertain how that decision would affect the battle in the coming months, Ukraine now has the capability to hit targets approximately 200 miles (300 km) from the Russia-Ukraine border.
