A notable rise in passing and grace scores for exams administered by education boards in Pakistan has been announced by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC).
Representatives from education bodies around the country met in Karachi and reached the decision.
The IBCC decided to boost grace marks from three to five and the passing scores in each subject from thirty-three to forty percent. Prior to the recent IBCC rule, students who received 30 points may obtain three grace marks for passing; currently, they must receive at least 35 marks in order to qualify for the five grace marks.
Additionally, the committee stated that students who fail more than two topics will not receive grace marks.
