Wednesday’s private service was held at Amersham, in the northwest of London’s Buckinghamshire.
In addition to Payne’s fiancée Kate Cassidy and his ex-partner Cheryl, with whom he has a kid, the mourners included his former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik.
A white horse-drawn hearse with floral tributes that spell “son” and “daddy” brought Payne’s coffin to the chapel.
