LAHORE: In response to indications of improved air quality in Lahore and other Punjabi cities, the government of Punjab announced on Monday more easing of smog-related regulations.
In four districts, including Lahore, building has been permitted, and kilns will be able to use zigzag technology, according to a notification released by DG Environment Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh.
Additionally, 100% staffing is permitted in both government and private offices. The ruling will apply to Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, and Lahore.
Heavy traffic will be able to enter the areas Monday through Thursday, according to the notification.
In all four districts, the decision to close stores, marketplaces, and shopping centers at 8:00 p.m.
