In 1996, John and Patsy Ramsey awoke to find their 6-year-old daughter, JonBenét, a child beauty queen, gone from their Boulder, Colorado, home the day after Christmas.
On the steps by the kitchen was a handwritten ransom note requesting $118,000, which was John’s exact bonus that year. John found his daughter’s lifeless body in a tiny basement room seven hours later.
The case has enthralled the country for decades.
After 28 years, John Ramsey is still optimistic that the person responsible for the death of his daughter will be apprehended. He thinks that new DNA technology could help investigators reexamine the murder of JonBenét, a case that garnered international attention.
