Cricketer Babar Azam’s appeal against a decision from an Additional Sessions Judge has been postponed until December 12 by the Lahore High Court (LHC). The order dealt with a harassment complaint that a lady named Humiza had brought against Azam.

The adjournment was requested by Azam’s attorney. In the initial 2021 petition, Azam was charged with blackmail and harassment. On the basis of the woman’s claims, the Sessions Judge had ordered the registration of a case.

Azam’s legal team has requested that the LHC overturn the Additional Sessions Judge’s ruling, arguing that it was founded on false information.

Notably, an order prohibiting Azam and his family from harassing Hamiza was issued following a prior session court hearing on her petition.
