BANNU: Two police officers were martyred when terrorists attacked the Fatah Khel police post in Bannu for the second time in two days.
After the incident, the perpetrators attacked the post and fled, according to police sources.
This was the second attack on the same checkpoint in 48 hours, according to the Bannu district police officer (DPO).
Terrorists had also tried to attack the Fatah Khel police post the night before, but security forces were able to repel the attack with prompt reprisal.
The attackers were able to escape the scene, though. In an effort to find the attackers, authorities have increased security in the area and started a search.
In January 2025, the number of terror assaults in the nation skyrocketed.
