RAWALPINDI: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed at least five terrorists in three different intelligence-based operations (IBOs).
During the operations, two more people were captured.
The military’s media arm announced in a statement that three terrorists, including Fareed Ullah, a high-value target (HVT), were killed during an IBO in the Bajaur district.
Two militants were shot dead by security personnel during another IBO in the Dossali neighborhood of North Waziristan. In the meantime, two terrorists were captured from their hiding place in the Mohmand district, including HVT Lal Ameer, also known as Ibrahim.
According to the ISPR, sanitization operations were being carried out to eradicate any further militants discovered in the region, while the military also recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists.
