ISLAMABAD: After reaching an agreement with both sides, the Supreme Court postponed until May 19 the hearing of Zahir Jaffer’s appeal against his death sentence in the Noor Mukadam murder case.
The well-known case was heard by a three-member bench led by Justice Hashim Kakar and consisting of Justices Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Ali Baqar Najafi.
During the court sessions, defense attorney Salman Safdar and prosecution attorney Shah Khawar were in attendance.
Safdar asked for a delay, stating that more paperwork needed to be submitted. However, Justice Kakar voiced his disapproval of the delays, asking, “Why should we grant an adjournment if you’re already in court?”
