Junaid Akbar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa party president and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA, has stepped down as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman.
Akbar stated that he had presented his resignation to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, stating that the party had trusted him with the role and that he was leaving in accordance with its directives. He declared that he will accept any decision made by Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI.
Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, revealed in an interview with Geo News that her sisters had recently met the PTI founder.
Salman Akram, the secretary general of the PTI, was informed of Akbar’s resignation on their behalf, she said.
