LAHORE: In a startling collision in Baghbanpura on Wednesday, a fast-moving dumper truck’s brake failed, causing it to collide with motorcycles and rickshaws, killing at least five people.
Four persons were also hurt when the dumper truck struck two motorcycles and three rickshaws. Rescue officials say the accident happened in the Punjab capital, close to the Aakhri Minute Stop.
Two little girls, Aima and Hafza, as well as a rickshaw driver and a motorcyclist have been recognized as among the deceased, while one person is yet unidentified.
The bodies have been moved to Shalimaar Medical Center. Furthermore, the same hospital has also admitted the injured individuals.
The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) rented the private dumper vehicle.
