According to a statement released by the Royal House of Norway on Wednesday, former US President Barack Obama was hosted by King Harald V and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
According to the statement, the former US president was in Norway for a lecture.
Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, the statement added.
The Royal House disclosed in March that Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s chronic illness was worsening and that she was unable to carry out her responsibilities on time.
In 2018, Crown Prince Haakon’s wife, Mette-Marit, received a pulmonary fibrosis diagnosis.
