Russia has praised recent attempts by India and Pakistan to reduce tensions, calling the action a step in the right direction for regional peace and stability.
Moscow firmly supports the deal struck between the two South Asian neighbors to lessen tensions and advance communication, according to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry. The ministry expressed hope that the steps made to restore relations will be long-lasting and sustainable, calling the accord “an important step forward.”
The statement said, “We see the recent agreement as a positive step toward regional stability and welcome the easing of tensions between Pakistan and India.”
