Large smoke plumes can be seen on a screen that shows a live video from Ukrainian drones hovering above the outskirts of Pokrovsk, an area in eastern Ukraine that is home to one of the country’s most active front lines.
Russian positions, where we had observed Russian soldiers moving about as they attempted to move towards a crucial road leading into Pokrovsk, were hit by Ukrainian artillery a few seconds earlier.
Following the strike, at least one Russian soldier is hurt and may even be dead.
Watching the live footage is eerie. As US President Donald Trump puts it, it highlights the “never-ending bloodbath” that has resulted from the conflict that Russia initiated, which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives to date.
