Israel unleashed a massive land, air, and sea offensive in north Gaza early Friday that killed around 100 people, including children, according to residents and the Hamas-run civil defense.
At least nine civilian dwellings and tents were attacked overnight, according to the civil defense, which also reported receiving dozens of calls from stranded individuals.
Tanks, artillery firing, and smoke bombs were also reported by witnesses in Beit Lahia.
The Israeli military claimed to have “eliminated several terrorists” in the last day while “operating to locate and dismantle terrorist infrastructure sites” in north Gaza.
Since Israel’s invasion commenced in March, this is the biggest ground attack on northern Gaza.
