KARACHI: In an exciting game on Friday in Iran, Pakistan’s baseball team defeated Bangladesh 10–6 to get off to a strong start in their attempt to defend the West Asia Cup championship.
The team recovered well from some early errors to start their title defense off on a positive note.
Pakistan scored six fast runs in the first inning to start the game in a spectacular fashion. However, Pakistan made a few fielding mistakes, which allowed Bangladesh to reply with five runs.
The pivotal moment occurred when bowler Syed Muhib Shah took charge and steadied the squad with a superb effort. For over six innings, he bowled brilliantly, giving up just one run and helping Pakistan win.
