The leaders of France, Canada, and the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, have come under fire from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who claims that they “effectively said they want Hamas to remain in power.”
Additionally, he charged that Mark Carney, Emmanuel Macron, and Starmer were supporting “mass murderers, rapists, baby killers, and kidnappers.”
Following the fatal attack on Israeli embassy employees in Washington on Thursday, Netanyahu was giving a speech. Israel’s enlarged offensive in Gaza was denounced as “disproportionate” and the humanitarian situation was deemed “intolerable” by the United Kingdom, France, and Canada a few days prior.
Sir Keir’s denunciation of the attack in Washington has been cited by Downing Street.
Sir Keir referred to antisemitism as a “evil we must stamp out” in that post.
