A contentious charity network supported by the United States and Israel, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), announced that it was shutting down its websites for “update, organization and efficiency improvements works” after it started operations last week.
People would be “prohibited” from approaching the distribution centers and from traveling on the highways that led to them, according to a separate bulletin from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
According to the Hamas-run Civil Defense Agency, Israeli shelling near a distribution center killed at least 27 Palestinians early Tuesday.
On the way to a GHF location, it was the third fatal occurrence in as many days.
The IDF claimed that its soldiers had fired after spotting suspects who were “deviating from the designated access routes” and approaching them.
