According to official sources, a high-level, 15-member federal committee charged with evaluating the harm inflicted during the most recent Indo-Pak conflict has officially started working on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s orders.
At the committee’s first meeting, which was presided over by the federal interior secretary, in Islamabad, important directives were given and a plan of action was initiated. A rigorous 30-day deadline has been set for the commission to finish its inquiry and deliver a comprehensive report to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The committee made the decision to send members to conflict-affected areas right away in order to speak with victims and gather firsthand evidence. The review will be thorough, considering infrastructure damage, civilian casualties, and national security consequences, officials said.
