On the second phase of his eight-day trip to the United States, Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, landed in Washington Thursday evening.
Senior embassy officials including Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, welcomed the deputy prime minister upon his arrival.
Dar will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Department of State while he is in Washington.
Important aspects of Pakistan-US relations will be covered during the discussion, along with strategies for enhancing bilateral ties and encouraging trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
