GHOTKI: Police announced Friday that TikTok content creator Sumeera Rajput was discovered dead at her home in the Bago Wah neighborhood of Sindh’s Ghotki district.
Rajput’s 15-year-old daughter allegedly told District Police Officer Anwar Shaikh that people who had been forcing her into an arranged marriage had poisoned her mother.
Rajput’s daughter, who had one million likes and over 58,000 followers on the video-sharing website, said the suspects gave her mother poisonous pills, which killed her.
For a post-mortem, the body was taken to a nearby hospital. According to Medical Superintendent Dr. Sarwanand, samples had been submitted to a laboratory to determine the precise cause of death, but the initial assessment showed no evidence of physical assault.
