RAWALPINDI: A court ordered the exhumation of the body for a post-mortem after police revealed Saturday that a married woman had been suspected of murder in the Pir Wadhai neighborhood of Rawalpindi.
Police say that because preliminary evidence points to her being murdered, area magistrate Qamar Abbas has ordered the woman’s grave to be exhumed on Saturday (tomorrow) for autopsy procedures.
According to the police, more than eight people have been taken into custody in relation to the case thus far. Family members of the woman are among those arrested.
Additionally, notices summoning the woman’s legal heirs on July 26 have been sent by the local magistrate.
