At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, Miley Cyrus won the prize for her 2023 hit song Flowers, making history as the first person to win the Grammy twice.
Before being named record of the year at the esteemed event, the singer was first honored with the prize for best pop solo performance for Flowers.
The Wrecking Ball singer stated, “This award is amazing,” during her acceptance speech. However, I sincerely hope that nothing changes because yesterday was a wonderful day in my life.
“Everyone in this world is amazing, even though not everyone will win a Grammy,” she continued. “So please don’t think that this is important, even though it’s very important, right guys?” she asked.
She went on to thank “everyone that’s standing on this stage right now Tom, Tyler, Michael and Greg,” adding, “Our teams, my team, Crush, Columbia, my mommy, my sister, my love, my main gays because look how good I look.”
But the singer went on to say in her winning speech, seemingly ignoring her father, Billy Ray Cyrus: “Anyone else? Your fiancée, your wife, and everyone we care about. I sincerely appreciate your support, everyone.”
She laughed and replied, “I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might have forgotten underwear.” “Goodbye!”
