PESHAWAR: Sher Zaman, a resident of Teela Band in Peshawar, was caught in an unsettling video trying to sell his kids. The video caused uproar on social media, which inadvertently caused his pleas for assistance to reverberate through the halls of the city administration.
Zaman, who used to work at a brick kiln with his kids, but it hasn’t been operating for the past two years, is trying, but hasn’t had much luck, to make ends meet.
Deeply impoverished, facing famine, losing their home, and having no hope left, he persuaded himself to undertake one of the most agonizing actions a parent could possibly commit.
“My family is going hungry, and I’m having trouble finding a job,” Sher Zaman said, gesturing to the damaged roof of his rental home.
