A “malicious” social media campaign against Justice Babar Sattar was criticized by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Sunday. The campaign claimed that Sattar was a US national with a financial stake in a private school in the nation.
The IHC claimed that the judge’s private information, including travel documentation for Sattar, his wife, and their children, was shared and posted on social media sites as part of a “false, malicious, and contemptuous” campaign.
It stated that information about his assets that was included in tax returns was also being shared on social media alongside malicious and false accusations.
