In Ghaziabad, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, close to Delhi, an Indian man named Dharamveer is said to have beheaded his wife, Sundari, in a fit of wrath brought on by the delay in receiving his morning tea.
The horrific incident happened at their home in the village of Faljagadh.
Before carrying out the horrific deed, Dharamveer, a 52-year-old daily wage worker, is said to have stabbed his wife fifteen times with a sword. The motive behind the brutal attack was revealed to be Sundari’s taking too long to prepare his tea.
To be clear, the husband woke up a little after his wife and asked for tea straight away, according to Police Superintendent Vivek Yadav. When informed it would take ten more minutes, he became furious, which is exactly what sadly transpired.
Sundari got up at six in the morning as usual, but as she was taking care of the stove, Dharamveer attacked her. In another room, their four children were safely fast asleep. Soldier, the son, rushed to the scene upon hearing his mother scream, but he was unable to stop the horrifying act.
Gyan Prakash Rai, Assistant Commissioner of Police, said: “Dharamveer and Sundari got into a fight about making tea. She was instantly killed when he pulled out a dagger and struck her in the neck from behind.”
The terrible incident that transpired over a morning ritual gone wrong is still being investigated, and Dharamveer has been taken into custody.
