Korangi Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hasan Sardar stated on Monday that two terrorists connected to the top intelligence organization in India, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), were apprehended after a focused operation by the police and spy services in Karachi.

He went on, “A major terrorist plan targeting the metropolis was foiled by the joint operation of Korangi police and intelligence agencies.”

According to the SSP, the terrorists who were detained had two hand grenades, a 9mm pistol, and ammunition taken from them.

Sardar went on to say that the terrorist who was apprehended had been researching a target that had been identified by outside parties. According to him, the terrorists earned millions of rupees from foreign bank accounts in exchange for sending the photos and information they had taken during the reconnaissance overseas.

There is no record of Indian infiltration into Pakistani territory for terrorist or intelligence reasons, as there have been several reports of RAW’s extraterritorial activity and the arrest of its agents.

Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Syrus Qazi revealed earlier this year that India was engaging in an extraterritorial and extrajudicial death campaign that was “sophisticated and sinister.”

Qazi had stated in January that Pakistan possesses “credible evidence” linking the deaths of two of its citizens on Pakistani soil to Indian operatives.

The British daily newspaper The Guardian published a piece claiming that the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “ordered killings” on Pakistani land, lending extra weight to these accusations.
