President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden’s cat, Willow, steals the show as she poses for photos in a charming holiday video that showcases “Magic, Wonder, and Joy.”
Released by The Dodo, the video captures Willow, the 3-year-old grey cat, exploring the intricately adorned Christmas displays at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave
Jill Biden, expressing delight, exclaims, “Willow, you have snow on your fur!” The first pet revels in the faux snow, adding a whimsical touch to the seasonal decorations. The video features Willow curiously investigating the White House’s festive arrangements, even sniffing a life-sized cat figure crafted in her likeness.
Recalling their unique introduction, Jill Biden fondly remembers Willow’s unexpected appearance during a 2020 speech at a farm in Willow Grove, Pa. The cat jumped onstage and became an endearing presence, leading to her eventual residence at the White House.
Executive producer Joanna Zelman, nervously anticipating the feline encounter, admits, “I’ve never been so nervous to meet a cat.” However, the interaction turns out to be “the cat’s meow,” with Zelman describing Willow as “maybe the friendliest cat I’ve ever pet.”
This isn’t Willow’s debut as a star. In 2022, she featured in a video with The Dodo when she first arrived at the White House, showcasing her charm and affable nature.
As the Bidens’ beloved cat, Willow brings a touch of attitude to the holiday festivities, adding a perfect charm to the White House’s seasonal celebration.
