Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was granted bail on Wednesday by the Islamabad High Court in connection with the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) settlement reference.
A panel consisting of two judges, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the IHC and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the court, had postponed ruling on the bail petition one day after prosecutor Amjad Parvez of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) wrapped up his case.
Levels of Quality
The NAB filed a £190 million NCA reference against Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and other parties in December of last year.
Zulfi Bukhari, Mirza Shehzad Akbar, Farhat Shezadi (Farah Gogi), and other individuals are included as additional accused in the reference.
