Between Jay Leno’s burn injury in November 2022 and the public announcement of his wife Mavis’ advanced dementia diagnosis in January, the couple has faced their fair share of difficulties.
In an interview with News , the pair, who were there to commemorate and award the inaugural Mavis Leno Award for Global Women’s Rights, stated that life is better than ever.
“All of that,” Leno responded when asked if his faith and family had recently helped bring the couple closer together. “Exactly. It’s the entire thing. We have been married 44 years. It becomes easier. “It doesn’t get harder.”
Jay Leno was granted conservatorship over his wife Mavis due to her dementia diagnosis.
