EasyJet’s new control centre uses artificial intelligence (AI), which allows its operations teams to better manage flights, according to the airline.
Personnel working at the integrated control centre near Luton Airport in Bedfordshire have access to Jetstream, a generative AI tool.
According to easyJet, this allows them to resolve difficulties for pilots and ground workers more swiftly.
The airline’s CEO, Johan Lundgren, stated that the new facilities arrived just in time for summer.
According to reports, the AI will forecast standby crew needs and offer the best worker selections for each operation.
The control centre employs over 250 people and manages easyJet’s daily flight schedule of over 2,000.
