The Los Angeles-based businessman, who switched careers in his 60s, began practicing aerial photography and has since sold artwork valued at around £1 million.
Delson told News that London is his “favourite city” despite having flown more than 300 hours in a variety of nations, such as Japan, the Netherlands, Hawaii, and Israel.
Prior to becoming a photographer, Delson established the fourth-biggest entertainment merchandising company in the world, collaborating with celebrities including Alanis Morisette, Billy Joel, and Rihanna. In 2007, he sold the business to AEG Live.
from heights of up to 12,000 feet (2.2 miles), strapped inside a helicopter, Delson records his artwork from a viewpoint and range that would do it.
“I need to be connected to what I am taking pictures of,” he says in his explanation. I can connect on an emotional and spiritual level when there isn’t a door and I can reach out and look down.”
Although he acknowledges that he doesn’t always get the ideal shot on every flight, the artist enjoys looking for “patterns” and “colors” in the scene.
His large-scale artwork is distinctive due to his aerial perspective, and despite the fact that many of his peers have long ago retired, he still exudes a youthful enthusiasm for both life and his art.
