SHENZHEN: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Tuesday that regular leadership involvement and discourse, interpersonal interactions, and cultural and educational exchanges are characteristics of Pakistan and China’s deep-rooted ties.
Earlier today, PM Shehbaz touched down in Shenzhen, China, marking the start of his formal visit. His objectives are to expand business-to-business (B2B) projects that will draw Chinese investors and to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations with Beijing.
According to a statement from the PM Office, the prime minister met with the deputy party secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee and the party secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee in Shenzhen Meng Fanli.
The prime minister called Shenzhen a trading gateway for China’s business and praised Guangdong province for its remarkable economic progress and innovative spirit.
Both parties reaffirmed “the time-honored All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China” and acknowledged the need to look into ways to improve collaboration between Guangdong province and Pakistan, especially through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Prime Minister Shehbaz and Party Secretary Meng emphasized the value of strong ties and interactions among scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators in order to fully realize the potential for improved collaboration in science and technology, innovation and commerce, and economic cooperation.
