Since he was originally accused of sexual misbehavior in 2017, the actor has mainly avoided the public eye.
He was the main character on Netflix’s House of Cards at the time, but the streaming service severed its relationship with him after the claims, and he faced backlash for coming out as gay in response.
In July 2023, Spacey went on trial in the UK for a number of sexual offenses against four individuals, but he was found not guilty on any of the charges. He won a US legal action in October 2022 after being charged with making an unwanted sexual approach.
He now had an hour-and-a-half interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan, during which he acknowledges having engaged in “bad behaviour” in the past.
Upon being questioned by Morgan about his meaning, Spacey responds, “Pushing the boundaries… being too handsy… Having sexual contact with someone I didn’t know they didn’t want to.”
Spacey said “yes” when Morgan inquired as to if that included “groping people,” then went on to explain his position.
He remarks, “Grope is a very odd word.” “As for me, I… I… I am a compassionate person who has given people caresses; that is who I am.
