Nepra’s fixed fees for domestic customers are being collected as of July 1.
It is made clear that people who use 200 units won’t be assessed fixed fees.
Nepra states that users of units 301 to 400 will pay Rs200 per month, users of units 401 to 500 will pay Rs400 per month, and users of units 501 to 600 will pay Rs600 per month.
Users of 601 to 700 units would pay Rs 600 a month; users of 800 units would pay Rs 800 a month; and users of more than 700 units would pay a set fee of Rs 1000 a month. The power distribution firms’ (Discos’) goal is to generate more income by raising these fixed charges.
