KARACHI: Sunday marked the third day in a row that the city saw rain, following days of rain on Saturday and Friday.
Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, the airport, and surrounding localities have reported light drizzle, while Sohrab Goth, Safoora Chowrangi, FB Area, Surjani Town, and Sharea Faisal have also reported some downpours.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), clouds that bring rain are expected to move throughout the western and central areas.
The Met Office had earlier in the day warned that there was a chance of thunder cell formation in the north, west, and east of the financial center, which might result in moderate to heavy rainfall in some places.
Rain fell on areas of Karachi a day earlier; the highest amount of 37.2mm, recorded by the weather service, was seen in Nazimabad and Paposh.
As opposed to the 25 mm that Keamari, Mauripur, Korangi, Quaidabad, Orangi Town, and DHA Phase II received, as well as the 23 mm that Mauripur received.
II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, Sharea Faisal, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, and the surrounding areas were among the other locations that also received showers.
According to the PMD, there is a moderate seven-kilometer-per-hour wind coming from the northwest right now, and the humidity is 70%.
