QUETTA: Police in Pishin, Balochistan, said Geo News on Saturday that an explosion near a police line resulted in the deaths of two children and a mother and the injury of fourteen others.
The injured were taken to a hospital, some of them in critical condition, according to the law enforcement officials.
Manzoor Buledi, the senior superintendent of police in the city, told Reuters that the remote-controlled bomb that was mounted to a motorcycle exploded, injuring seven police officers.
According to police officer Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, “a motorcycle that was parked in the area had explosives planted in it.”
Dr. Wakeel Sherani, the medical superintendent of Pishin Hospital, stated that while the remains of the children and one injured person remain at the hospital, 13 wounded were transported to Quetta following first assistance.
