The fisherman of Karachi and the coastal area of Thatta were prohibited from hunting in the Arabian Sea by the local authorities following the tropical storm notice. A cyclone known as “Asni” is forming close to Karachi, hence the director general of the meteorological department has issued an alarm.
Since 1964, there hasn’t been a cyclone in August; normally, these weather events take place in May or June. This time, a cyclone is brewing in the region.
Within the next six hours, the cyclone—which has shifted from land to sea—is predicted to strengthen into a hurricane, bringing heavy rains to Tharparkar, Karachi, and other places. It is also predicted that Balochistan will have a lot of rain until September 1; South Punjab and Islamabad will be affected.
