A lady was found guilty of blasphemy in a social media post by a special court in Islamabad and sentenced to death.
The decision was made public on Thursday by Judge Afzal Majoka of the Islamabad Special Court, which was founded in accordance with the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act.
The Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), Section 295-C, which imposes the death punishment for blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is what led to the woman’s conviction.
In addition, the woman was fined Rs 300,000 by the court.
In addition, she was fined Rs100,000 and given a seven-year prison sentence under Section 11 of the PECA Act.
