A lake-effect snowstorm that covered a restaurant on the shores of Lake Erie in New York has transformed it into a castle, like to the one that houses Elsa, the princess from the animated film Frozen, according to Fox News.
A viral video shows how the intense winter storm that has been battering the United States for the past few weeks is even freezing over structures.
After getting a “small dose of an ice castle coating,” the Hoak’s Lakeshore Restaurant in Hamburg, New York, which is a suburb of Buffalo, was blanketed in snow, as per the restaurant’s Instagram post.
Due to a travel ban on Sunday amid a significant winter storm that dumped over two feet of snow—of which 41.3 inches fell in Hamburg—the restaurant was closed.
Winds and snow on the northeastern coasts of Lake Erie, complete with enormous icicles and a thick layer of ice accretion, had an effect on the business.
But on Monday, a video that quickly gained widespread popularity on the internet revealed that the entire ice castle makeover had been accomplished, with foot-long icicles falling from almost every building surface and the roof.
