Ballerini told Women’s Health that she sought professional assistance since she started to have doubts about her future at the age of 24.
The singer had already attended therapy twice, but not voluntarily. After her parents divorced when she was twelve, she was sent to court-ordered therapy. After seeing a school shooting at her Knoxville Central High School a few years later, she was required to go to counseling sessions.
