LAHORE: Uzma Bukhari, the Punjab government spokesman, criticized Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), on Tuesday for making decisions on the “do-or-die protest” that is scheduled for November 24.
She was alluding to a leaked audio clip that allegedly showed the former first lady speaking to Peshawar party members.
“The apolitical woman delivers political speeches and clearly gives target [to her party’s leaders and lawmakers],” the Punjab communications minister stated, making fun of the former first lady.
Bushra, the wife of the former premier, reportedly told each PTI MPA and MNA to bring at least 5,000 and 10,000 workers to Islamabad for the demonstration.
“When the apolitical woman was being called apolitical, she wasn’t apolitical.”
