KARACHI: False claims that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was not granting visas to Pakistanis have been flatly repudiated by the UAE.
During an event in the port city, UAE Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi stated, “A lie has been propagated for two years that the UAE was not issuing visas to Pakistanis.”
The ambassador went on to say, “Anyone who wishes to obtain a visa should visit the UAE visa center.”
Remeithi reiterated that the government had instructed them to help Pakistan and reaffirmed the Emirate’s support for Islamabad.
The consul general emphasized that investments were being made and predicted that within a month or two, there would be a significant improvement in this area.
