Malala claims that “our economy is being held back” by the issue in education.
According to a peace campaigner, Afghani girls are deprived of their future.
Malala Yousafzai, the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, has urged the international community to address the worldwide girls’ education crisis, highlighting the critical role educated women play in creating a prosperous society.
“We should begin by recognising what we are up against, a crisis that holds our economy back by hundreds of billions in lost growth, a crisis harming the health, safety and security of our people,” Malala said during the second day of the “International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities” yesterday.
The two-day conference, held in the federal capital, brought together educators and specialists from around the world.
