The city of VATICAN: Just weeks after battling pneumonia and fighting for his life in the hospital, Pope Francis is set to surprise Catholics worldwide on Sunday at Easter celebrations at the Vatican.
After spending 38 days in the hospital for treatment, the sick 88-year-old pope has been recuperating since his release on March 23.
In the most significant Christian event, he is scheduled to give the “Urbi et Orbi” benediction on Sunday at noon (1000 GMT) from a balcony that overlooks Saint Peter’s Square.
