A major Ukrainian drone attack has left at least 60,000 people stuck at airports throughout Russia, according to local officials.
Since Tuesday evening, 350 flights in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, and numerous other locations have been impacted, according to the Russian Association of Tour Operators (Ator).
According to the Russian defense ministry, 524 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the last 24 hours, which, if verified, is a record number. There were no recorded casualties.
Ukraine claims that two persons were killed in Kyiv overnight by a Russian drone and missile attack.
A self-proclaimed three-day ceasefire in Russia was scheduled to start on Wednesday night, just before a World War Two triumph parade in Moscow on May 9. This coincided with the flurry of attacks.
