According to the Kremlin, there is no timeline for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine because it will take time for Moscow and Kyiv to come up with a single, cohesive draft of a ceasefire and peace agreement.
In comments released early Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified that the intricate elements of a final peace agreement will require time to develop. Before settling on a single final version, both parties will need to write and share drafts.
“Deadlines cannot exist and there aren’t any. Peskov told reporters, “It is evident that everyone wants to do this as quickly as possible, but, of course, the devil is in the details,” according to the RIA official news agency.
