Lahore saw a much-needed shower as a thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain swept across the city on a winter Friday night, lowering the temperature as the winter season came to an end.
The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) reported heavy rainfall in many regions of Lahore, indicating broad and much-needed precipitation. Heavy rains fell in areas such as Davies Road, Shimla Pahari, China Chowk, Gangaram, Mazang Chongi, and Partizbarash, causing mercury levels to drop significantly.
Rain showers were also seen at Ichhra, Samanabad, Wahdat Road, Garden Town, Model Town, and Gulberg, all of which contributed to the city’s cooling effect.
Residents of Kot Lakhpat, Chongi Amarsadhu, Kahna, Walton, and Defence also saw rains, adding to the relief brought by the sudden change in weather.Residents of Lahore, who had been dealing with cold temperatures in recent days, were relieved and grateful for the rapid turn in weather patterns.
