A dazzling stretch of the Indian Ocean sparkled blue in the darkness, giving the impression that stars had fallen from the sky and become submerged. More tiny star-shaped specks werehed up by the waves along the shoreline and fell onto the beach, illuminating the damp sand like a reflection of the starry sky.
In a matter of moments, they vanished into the darkness. After running across the sand, I turned to see my glowing footprints rekindling the lights in my wake. As I dipped my toe into the glistening blue water, the light became more intense, resembling a spinning galaxy.
